this meal is one of d's specialties.
he went to a pub in chicago on a business trip and came home with a new recipe idea.
it's the perfect lazy weekend lunch meal.

grilled cheese

2 slices of rustic sourdough bread (per person)
cashew butter
fig jam
morbier cheese

heat a skillet
to build the sandwiches:
butter a slice of bread on one side and spread with cashew butter on the other, then set in skillet, butter side down
on the other piece of bread spread fig jam
slice cheese and place atop the jam
squish sandwich together and butter top piece of bread
flip to brown each side of sandwich and melt cheese
cut into two pieces
serve with a belgian beer.
