cranberry-apricot sauce

this is a thanksgiving must for us.
i found it 10 years ago through cooking light.

1/2 c thinly sliced dried apricots (3 oz)
1/4 c orange juice
3/4 c water
2/3 c sugar
1/4 c honey
1 (12 oz) package fresh cranberries

combine apricots and orange juice in a small bowl; cover and let stand 8 hrs.
combine water and sugar in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil. Add apricot mixture, honey, and cranberries. Cook over medium heat 8 minutes or until slightly thick. Spoon mixture into a bowl; cover and chill.

Makes 3 cups.
